Thousands of attendees from 15 countries and 28 states ascended on the LACC during the three-day show. In addition, the show featured the largest collection of European resources on the West Coast and the highest quality trend displays and educational opportunities available for attendees. GlobalTex' home at the LACC has served us well and we look forward to continued growth over the upcoming years.

Once again this year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) was a huge success for the global video game industry, the Entertainment Software Association, and the city of Los Angeles. It was a pleasure to work with the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2010, just as it has been over the many years that the facility has played host to this important entertainment event.

I want to give you my thanks for the contribution the Los Angeles Convention Center and its staff made to the great success of the recently completed 97th Annual Conference of the College Art Association on February 25-28, 2009. The CAA conference had not been in Los Angeles since 1999 and we were very impressed with all the positive changes to the immediate vicinity of the convention center. As well, the overall condition of the convention center itselfwas appreciated by our personnel responsible for the operation of the conference on-site. Even with the age and size of the facilities everything was up to date and functioning without any lapses in the physical plant itself, which is not always the case with decades-old centers.

The Southern California Marine Association has successfully just concluded the 2008 Los Angeles Boat Show, marking its 52nd consecutive year of operation as one of the nation's three largest consumer boat shows. On behalf of the SIGGRAPH 2008 Conference Committee, we would like to extend our thanks to the Los Angeles Convention Center(LACC) for helping plan another successful event. The 2008 event represented our seventh conference in Los Angeles with the LACC since 1995. There are many factors that make the LA destination attractive to our association...certainly the concentrated local representation of our industry itself is high on the list. But also critical in our minds is the quality team we have enjoyed working with year-after-year. We, as a team, brought over 43,000 unique attendees and over 105,000 total attendees over this past 4111 of July weekend. I hope this letter finds you well, and let me apologize for being a bit delinquent in getting this to you following our recent accomplishment. Here at the Recording Academy, we continue to be amazed and thrilled at the growth and success of our telecast property and GRAMMY Week events, projects and initiatives. This year was no exception. Based on the positive press coverage, the increased ratings, and the accolades received from our Academy members, board and committees, it appears that we collectively accomplished the greatest success in recent years.
