Overview
The California Science Center is a special museum, encouraging students to touch and interact with everything. With more than 100 interactive exhibits, the Center succeeds in taking “infotainment” to a new level. Among items featured is a working hovercraft, a high-wire bicycle which guests can ride – suspended 43 feet above the floor, an earthquake demonstration that destroys miniature buildings, a drunken driving simulator, a chick hatchery, live frogs, and Tess – a 50-foot figure displaying and explaining parts of the human anatomy.
The California Science Center is being expanded into four themed “worlds” that illustrate different aspects of science and our surrounding environment. An onsite IMAX theater is a popular venue seating 480 guests, and features a seven story high screen that captivates audiences.
