A Message from the City of Los Angeles Mayor
Antonio R. Villaraigosa:
“The Census is much more than a tally of numbers, it defines who
we are as a City and as a nation. And here in Los Angeles, we are doing
our part by coordinating a citywide grassroots campaign through Complete
Count Committees and actively encouraging Angelenos to be counted.”
A Message from the Los Angeles Convention Center US Census 2010 Team:
The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) and its family of employees are fully committed to play an integral role in helping Los Angeles achieve a complete count during the next decennial Census in April 2010.
As part of the Mayor’s Office of Census 2010 City-wide effort, LACC has put together a Census Team tasked with executing a detailed outreach educational strategy to inform the millions of patrons that visit the LACC every year. The Center’s goal is to build up interest about the importance of participation in the 2010 US Census.
The LACC is partnered with the US Census Bureau and the Mayor’s Office of Census 2010 not only to promote the importance of being counted and what it means to the City of Los Angeles, but about the significance of 18,000 employment opportunities that exist in support of the Census in Los Angeles.
